Boys & Girls Clubs
We are proud to support the Boys & Girls Club and its mission to help young people build the skills, confidence and connections they need to reach their full potential.
The Boys & Girls Club provides young people with a safe and supportive place to learn, grow and build meaningful relationships with caring mentors. Through educational programs, activities and leadership opportunities, the organization helps prepare the next generation for success.

Youth of the Year
The Boys & Girls Club Youth of the Year program recognizes outstanding young people for their leadership, service, academic achievements and commitment to their communities.
Route 22 Toyota is proud to celebrate these young leaders and support programs that encourage young people to set goals, develop their talents and make a difference in the lives of others.
Toys For Tots
During the holiday season, Route 22 Toyota is proud to support Toys for Tots and its mission of helping bring the joy of Christmas to children in need.
Through toy drives and community support, Toys for Tots helps make the holidays brighter for children and families throughout New Jersey. We are honored to play a part in this important effort and encourage our customers and neighbors in Hillside, Newark, Elizabeth, Union, Irvington and surrounding communities to join us in giving back.
Community Coat Drive
Staying warm during the winter should never be a concern for a family in need. Route 22 Toyota is proud to support our local community through coat drives that help provide warm clothing to children and families during the colder months.
We appreciate everyone who contributes to these efforts and helps us support our neighbors throughout Hillside, Newark, Elizabeth, Union, Irvington and the surrounding communities.
Supporting Youth Sports
We believe that youth sports help teach teamwork, discipline, confidence and leadership both on and off the field.
Route 22 Toyota is proud to support local youth athletics, including the Bloomfield Flag Football League. We were happy to provide shorts for players in the league and support an organization that gives young athletes the opportunity to compete, build friendships and enjoy the game.
Supporting local sports programs is another way we can help create positive opportunities for young people throughout our New Jersey community.
NJ CAR Technician Advancement Program
Route 22 Toyota was proud to host the graduation ceremony for the New Jersey Coalition of Automotive Retailers' Technician Advancement Program, also known as TAP.
TAP is an 18-week intensive training program designed to prepare aspiring automotive technicians for successful careers in the retail automotive industry. Funded through a grant from the United States Department of Labor, the program provides participants with tuition-free technical training and hands-on experience.
Each graduate also received a starter tool set valued at $3,000 to help launch their career in the automotive industry.
We were honored to host this important event at Route 22 Toyota in Hillside, where graduates, instructors, dealership leaders and community representatives came together to celebrate the students' accomplishments. The ceremony also included remarks from New Jersey Lieutenant Governor Dr. Dale Caldwell, who joined program leaders and other guests in congratulating the graduates.
We are proud to support programs like TAP that create career opportunities, develop skilled professionals and help strengthen New Jersey's automotive workforce.
